Imagine that: a hetero couple getting married on Lesbos. Or some white dudes throwing a pride, celebrating heritage. Oh oh, who would say that’s fucked up? Fucked up.
It’s a change of perspectives when you look at who cries ,I‘m so happy to be alive’.
Oh oh, some wouldn’t believe that their air goes through a filter,
If they saw the smog others breathe.
Or they wouldn’t care.
When everything’s level, everyone’s so easy to see.
When everyone matches expectations, we wouldn’t have a reason to meet.
Treat us as a big big big surprise, like your walls have mice or you’re constantly being lied to
have a happy life, don’t believe what doesn’t feel right.
I wish I could say that, but reality keeps crashing into my face.
Oh oh, so you can feel the hate?
The hate when your boss needs you to stay on a Friday late,
Or the one with innocent people coexisting being beaten to submission? I would cry, but my well‘s out of water and just waiting for systems to falter turns my hair grey.
