Of all the ways I tell you I care There’s not one that I favor.
It’s not a plaque that you wear, But rather the fruits of our labor.
I love you as trees love the rain. Will care like a child for its teddy. Shrouding hugs protect us from pain And we’ll let go when we’re ready. One kisses’ wild ride Through all our emotions. Stay a year, stay a night, It’s all the same notion. Now I’m home all by myself, But still feel all love that lingers. When it’s dark, I’m grasping for help My cheeks feel the grace of your fingers.
